Denuvo has recently come forward on Discord to clarify that its DRM is not the reason the performance of games like Persona 5, Resident Evil Village, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor were affected, providing reasons for each one.

It's hard to believe that Denuvo doesn't impact performance when so many players report issues with it. Even if they provide reasons for individual games, the overall reputation of Denuvo has taken a hit over the years for a reason.

Denuvo saying it doesn't affect performance feels a bit hard to swallow. We've seen enough examples where games with DRM tend to have stuttering or slowdown issues. Hopefully, developers can find a better balance for future releases.

I appreciate Denuvo trying to clear things up, but the negative perception around their DRM is real. Even if the technology isn't solely responsible for performance drops, it definitely seems to coincide with issues in a lot of major games.
