Building a Gaming PC for My Wife—Looking for Tips

I'm planning to put together a gaming PC for my wife. She's not planning on spending a ton of time on it, and she won’t be pushing the settings to the max. I’m aiming for something that’s a bit more budget-friendly yet still future-proof. Right now, the build is sitting at around $2k. Any thoughts on where I could scale back without sacrificing too much in the long run?pc build.jpg

Consider buying a used build with a 3070 Ti and an i7 from the 11th to 13th series. Just get good cooling, and you could save at least 1000 euros.

Unless you’re going purely for aesthetics, you can downgrade most of those parts and save a lot of money. Especially if you say she’s not gonna game on high settings. $2k on a 1080p build is ridiculous

You can cut costs by going with a more budget-friendly case and AIO. Thermalright AIOs are available for around $60—they might not last as long or look as sleek, but they do the job. Alternatively, you could opt for one of their Phantom Spirit air coolers for about $40

I just put together an ITX rig with a 7600x and a 4060 Ti, spending a little over a grand since I opted for a refurbished GPU. It runs GTA5, RDR2, and Fallout 76 at 4K with ultra or high settings, easily maintaining 60fps. This setup is great if you’re not planning to use it extensively.
