Can I Hook Up HDMI Monitor To DisplayPort?

Hey all, I’m in a bit of a pickle. I’ve got an HDMI monitor that I want to hook up to my PC, but the only available port is DisplayPort. Buying a new monitor with DisplayPort isn’t in the budget right now, so I’m working with what I’ve got. The monitor is a hand-me-down, and my PC’s HDMI is already in use by my gaming monitor.

I’m hoping to use this second monitor for social apps, music, and videos while I game on the main screen. Any advice on how to connect an HDMI monitor to a DisplayPort? What do I need to make this work? Thanks!
 
Connect one end of an HDMI cable to your second monitor and the other end to an HDMI-to-DP adapter, then connect that adapter to your PC.

You can get this adapter, its cheap and does the job.
