Over on Metacritic, the game has received more than 700 negative reviews already. Of the 915 total user ratings, only about 165 are positive. Multiple negative reviews point to the inclusion of politics and DEI in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. For context, the game features instances of characters speaking out against misgendering.

The character designs have also attracted plenty of criticism. Other reviews point to poor dialogue, weak narrative writing, and a subpar combat system. All combined, these critics have led to a major divide between the critics and the players.

I remember when Dragon Age: Origins came out; it was a game-changer. Sad to see the series facing such backlash now.

I was really hyped for The Veilguard, but seeing all these negative reviews makes me think twice. Maybe I'll wait for a sale.

Wow, Dragon Age: The Veilguard's user score tanked to 2.5/10 on Metacritic. Players are slamming it for pushing DEI too hard, clunky dialogue, and weak combat. Despite this, it's still pulling decent player numbers across platforms.

They say Sweet Baby was not involved, but it seems that they themselves have turned into Sweet Baby.
