[Discussion] Dragon Age: The Veilguard Has Received 84/100 Score on Metacritic

It's great to see BioWare finally getting some positive feedback again! The 84/100 score seems promising, and if Veilguard has strong storytelling and solid combat, it might just live up to expectations. Can't wait to try it myself and see how it stacks up to Inquisition.

Interesting how some major outlets rated it as low as a 6/10, while others gave it a perfect 10. Seems like BioWare took some risks here, and while some fans are thrilled, others seem disappointed. I'm curious about where I'll fall on that spectrum!

Honestly, the news about YouTubers not getting review codes if they were critical feels a bit concerning. I hope this isn't a sign of trying to silence less favorable opinions. Still, if the gameplay and story are solid, maybe it's just a matter of preference.

I'm honestly a little skeptical about these high ratings. With reviews being so mixed, especially on PC, I wonder if the console experience is just smoother? Either way, an 84 is decent, but I'll probably wait for more user reviews before deciding.

This game might be polarizing, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! From what I've read, it sounds like Veilguard will bring fresh elements to the Dragon Age universe, even if it's not everyone's cup of tea. If they've really nailed the combat and character writing, it could be a memorable entry in the series.
