[Discussion] Dragon Age Writer Insults Gamers For Criticizing Female Character Design, Calls Them Incels

In a series of posts, David Gaider made fun of gamers who say the women in Dragon Age: The Veilguard aren't "hot enough." He called out their preferences, suggesting they are influenced by anime or adult content, and described these complaints as old-fashioned and troubling.

He argued that players who criticize today’s female character designs are stuck in old ideas, and called them incels and porn-addicts.

Honestly, Gaider has a point. There's nothing wrong with wanting more variety in character design. It's weird to expect every female character to look like they stepped out of a fantasy anime. Different is good!
 
I don't see why this is such a big deal. Games have all sorts of characters. Not every woman needs to be designed with the sole purpose of being 'hot' to appeal to a certain demographic. Let's enjoy the game for what it is.
 
Calling out people as incels might be a bit too far, but I agree that the constant complaints about 'hotness' in games is tiring. Let's appreciate complex and diverse characters instead of focusing on unrealistic beauty standards.
