Gamescom recently asked its followers to vote on the most popular gaming platforms. This included the big three console manufacturers and PC, with the latter coming out on top. While the consoles combined still proved overwhelming for PC, this platform took the lead individually. With over 44% of the 2,685 votes, it secured a comfortable lead over PlayStation, which finished in second place with 32.3%.

It seems PC gamers are growing by the day. Even with all the poor ports and UE5 stuttering issues, the platform is flourishing. Good to see!

PC gaming taking the lead is a great sign of how diverse and robust the platform has become. The ability to upgrade hardware and access games from different eras really sets it apart from consoles. Exciting times for PC gamers!

Not surprised that PC gaming came out on top! The flexibility, modding, and sheer variety of games available make it such a strong platform. Even with some poor ports lately, the PC community continues to grow.

PC winning the poll makes sense to me. While consoles are great for plug-and-play convenience, the customization, performance, and game library on PC are hard to beat. It's good to see PC gaming getting the recognition it deserves!
