Spider-Man 2 was a major milestone for Insomniac's superhero franchise. Introducing two playable characters, instant loading, and Venom's role in the story, the game juggled plenty of elements throughout its nearly twenty-hour runtime. The conclusion of Spider-Man 2 also had interesting implications for the Web Slinger's next adventure, with Insomniac previously hinting at Miles Morales taking over the lead role. However, a new statement states Peter Parker will continue to be central to the next title.
