The Nintendo Switch 2 has long been compared to the PS4. As far back as 2023, Activision was among the first to dub Nintendo's latest hardware capable of matching the PS4's output, and recent testing has proven this is indeed the case. However, the Nintendo Switch 2 has a lot of small upgrades owing to its use of more modern hardware. As a result, many Nintendo fans believe these comparisons are disingenuous, stating that the new hardware should not be compared to the PS4.
