A new patent published by Nintendo suggests that Switch 2 will get a modular attachment that allows different devices to be connected to it to serve as an addition, including smartphones and the like. The attachment could also be secured to soft surfaces like bedsheets to provide an immersive console experience.

It's Nintendo, so there's always going to be some gimmick, though the Switch 2 seems to be the least gimmicky among Nintendo's other consoles.
