Tbh, I’m skeptical. They talk about creativity, but will it be enough to make a real impact on their games? It’s easy to say you want to get back to your roots, but actually delivering something unique is a whole other story.

Trying to bring back the glory days is tricky. Ubisoft was a different company back then, and the industry has changed a lot since. If they’re serious about it, maybe they should focus on original IPs and let go of the obsession with sequels. I’m here for it if they really mean business, but I’m not holding my breath until I see something genuinely fresh.

Ubisoft aiming for the creativity of their golden era sounds promising, but I wonder if they still have the team to make it happen. A lot of the original talent has moved on, and sometimes you can’t capture lightning in a bottle twice. Let’s hope they really put in the effort to surprise us, not just with graphics but with storytelling and unique gameplay.

Honestly, I’m excited to see what Ubisoft does next! Their 2010-2020 era was full of memorable games and iconic franchises. If they can bring back that magic, even with a few restructuring moves, then I’m all for it. Here’s hoping they deliver something special!

It feels like Ubisoft is chasing nostalgia rather than actual innovation. They can’t recreate the past by cutting teams and re-hiring old faces. If they’re serious about open-world dominance, they should focus on building a culture that encourages new ideas instead of just looking backward.

If Ubisoft truly wants to recapture its 'golden era,' cutting developer jobs seems like the wrong approach. Creativity and innovation come from fresh ideas and skilled teams, not from layoffs and downsizing. They need to invest in their people if they really want to see meaningful results.
