Dragon Age Inquisition’s Epilogue Should Have Been Base Game Content? Thoughts?

Heyy!

I was reading this article, and apparently, the game director for Dragon Age just admitted that the Inquisition’s Trespasser DLC should have been part of the base game! Honestly, I always felt like Trespasser tied up so many loose ends that were crucial to the main story. It’s kind of frustrating knowing this now, but at least they acknowledged it. What do you all think? Should major DLCs like this be part of the core experience or is post-launch content a necessary evil these days?

Interesting take! I personally didn't mind it as DLC since it gave me a reason to dive back into the game, but yeah, it would've been nicer as part of the main plot.

DLC should be extra content, not essential content. When a game leaves so many loose threads that you NEED the DLC to feel complete, it’s just bad practice. Dragon Age Inquisition is a fantastic game, but without Trespasser, the ending feels hollow. The whole Solas reveal and the future of the Inquisition were too important to be left to post-launch. They should have wrapped that up in the base game. It would've been a better experience for all players, not just those who could afford the DLC!
