Excited for Dragon Age: The Veilguard? Hawke's Out, Inquisitor's In!

I just found out some interesting news about Dragon Age: The Veilguard! The devs confirmed in a recent Q&A that Hawke from Dragon Age 2 won't be in the new game. Instead, we'll be seeing the return of the Inquisitor from Dragon Age: Inquisition. You'll even get to recreate them in the character creator, just like how Inquisition handled Hawke's appearance.

Given that Hawke could either be dead or stuck in the Fade (depending on your choices in Inquisition), it makes sense. They might still get a mention in the story, though.

How do you all feel about this?

Oh man, that's a bummer about Hawke not being in the new game. But bringing back the Inquisitor is pretty cool! I loved how you could customize Hawke in Inquisition, so it's great that they're doing the same for the Inquisitor. Makes sense with all the different endings. I hope Hawke still gets a shoutout in the story though.

Yeah, I get why Hawke isn't making a return, given all the possible endings. Still, I'm stoked to see the Inquisitor again! Recreating them sounds like a blast, and it'll be interesting to see how they fit into the new story. Fingers crossed for some good mentions or cameos of Hawke.
