Exploring Hybrid Cloud Solutions for Gaming & Dev Workloads

I’ve been thinking about how to optimize my setup for both gaming and development tasks, and one approach that caught my attention is using a hybrid cloud workflow. My plan is to keep all latency-heavy gaming on my local PC while offloading demanding workloads like large project builds, virtual machine testing, or automated pipelines to cloud-based resources.

Has anyone here experimented with mixing local hardware and cloud processing like this? I’m curious about how well the performance balances out, how you manage overall costs, and what tools or configurations helped you streamline the workflow.

I’m also trying to figure out the best way to secure dev data when part of the environment lives in the cloud. Do you rely on VPN setups, custom firewalls, or other access-control methods?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences, recommended strategies, or any pitfalls to avoid.
