Fortnite x The Incredibles Collab – Could This Be the Best Crossover Yet?

So I just saw the news about The Incredibles potentially coming to Fortnite, and I’ve got mixed feelings. On one hand, it makes total sense. Fortnite has been on a roll with these massive pop culture crossovers (Marvel, Star Wars, etc.), and The Incredibles fits perfectly with their cartoonish vibe. Plus, it’s been a while since the Parr family got any major screen time, so I can see why Disney would want to bring them into Fortnite for a bit of a revival.

But here's my take: are we getting too many of these crossovers now? I feel like Fortnite is kind of losing its identity with all these collabs. I get that they bring in tons of money and keep the game fresh, but at what point does it stop being Fortnite and start being just a big marketing platform?

That said, I can’t deny it’d be fun to have a skin of Mr. Incredible or dash around as Dash (pun intended ). And Elastigirl’s stretching powers could make for some creative abilities in-game.

I get why people are excited, but the real question is whether this will bring something fresh to the game. Fortnite has already done superheroes with Marvel, and they did it pretty well. Will The Incredibles add something we haven’t seen before? Elastigirl’s stretching ability sounds fun, and Dash’s speed could lead to some really cool gameplay. But does this just feel like more of the same, slapped on top of what Fortnite already does? I hope they actually innovate with the gameplay rather than just throwing skins in for a quick buck. The potential is there, but it depends on how Epic handles it.

I’ve always been a sucker for Fortnite crossovers, but lately, it seems like they’re overdoing it. The Incredibles are awesome, no doubt, but doesn’t anyone else feel like the game’s original identity is fading? It used to feel like its own thing, but now it’s just a platform for selling skins. I miss the early days when it wasn’t about marketing IPs but more about gameplay innovation.
