Has the RTX 40 series melting issue been fixed?

Does anyone have any reliable info on whether the upcoming RTX 50 series will use the same power connectors as the 40 series? Trying to future-proof my build and would like to avoid unnecessary upgrades if possible.

Yep, they changedd the design of the connector with a revised 12V-2x6 cable. All new GPUs and PSUs come with it so no more melting issues

I've had my 4090 for almost a year now without any problems :)
Same for me... I'm really tired of people constantly posting about it. We get it. Some people are having bad luck, but posting "another 4090 melted" here doesn't help. It just seems like they're looking for attention.

I used the MSI power adapter for my 4090 for three weeks, then switched to a Thermaltake GF3 1200W ATX3.0 PCI5 PSU with a native 12VHPWR cable. No issues for three months now, and the cable looks great through the tempered glass. For peace of mind, I'd recommend getting an ATX3.0 PSU.
