Okay, so Tekken 8 just confirmed Heihachi’s return, and honestly, I’m both excited and kinda surprised! I mean, didn’t we think he was finally done for after Tekken 7? This guy just won’t stay down! The fact that we’re getting him back, and with a release date now set, has me hyped. But what do you all think? Is Heihachi’s comeback a good move or is Tekken relying too much on nostalgia? And how do you feel about the timing of the release?

Heihachi is like the Wolverine of Tekken—he just doesn’t stay dead. I’m glad he’s coming back because he’s such an iconic character, but it feels like Tekken 8 might be milking the nostalgia factor. Let’s see if they do something fresh with him.

I have mixed feelings about Heihachi returning in Tekken 8. Don’t get me wrong, he’s one of the best characters in the entire series, but it feels like they’re recycling old ideas. They gave him a pretty definitive ending in Tekken 7, and bringing him back makes me wonder if they’re struggling to introduce new, compelling characters. That said, if they bring him back with a unique twist, like maybe he’s more of a ghostly figure or some kind of cyber-Heihachi, it could be cool.

But just having him come back without explanation feels lazy. Hopefully, they do something creative.
