how good is the 4070 ti super over 4070 super?

The 4070 Super has 12GB VRAM and 4070 Ti Super has 16GB VRAM.. is the extra VRAM worth it? I am upgrading from a 3060 VISION OC andd I'm really confused about which to go for.. also how big of a PSU do I need to run these cards?

The 4070 SUPER is 12-15% slower than the 4070 Ti SUPER and about 8-10% slower than the 4070 Ti. 12GB of VRAM will be adequate for 1440p for several years, likely until the PS6 launches around 2028.

Like others have said, a 4070 ti super is the better option for its overall improved performance.

Go with a 700-800W PSU

Hi @TanBiological,

When it comes to 4070 Ti SUPER vs 4070 SUPER, you have to pick between the most performance or the better value. The 4070 TI-S will give you better FPS, but the 4070 S's performance is not bad at all, especially given the pricing.

As for your PSU requirement,

Any high-quality 750W Gold PSU should be good enough.

As always, the key to your purchase decision lies in your specific requirements and budget. The RTX 4070 Super is the better value-for-money proposition here. So, if all you're looking to do is play 1440p games comfortably with the best graphics possible, the RTX 4070 Super will do the job while also saving you money.

However, if your demands extend beyond gaming or if you're gaming at a higher resolution (or on an ultrawide), the RTX 4070 Ti Super is the better choice. Sure, it's going to burn a bigger hole in your wallet, but it's the better long-term choice if you're looking to get the best performance possible while still getting the most for your money from Team Green.
