Is it a good time to get the 5800x3d? (or 5900x)

Hey guys, I have been planning to upgrade by system for quite a while now. Finally got the time and the money to make some changes. My friend has the 5800X3D and he can easily play most games (we usually play Apex and sometimes GTA5)

But I just herad about the Ryzen 9000 coming in too? Obviously I wont be able to afford that, but does this mean now is not the right time to make an AMD purchase?

Also between the two which ones a better choice: 5800X3D or 5900X

I have a work laptop so I 99% time use my PC for movies and games
 
First, if you can wait, then I say go ahead and wait till the dust of Ryzen 9000 has settled, there will be holiday sales and I am sure you will find a better deal on the 5800X3D.

As for your second question, the 5800X3D is absolutely perfect for gaming, no need for 5900X.

Its fine you can buy it right now (go with a mobo bundle if you can they offer good value)
 
Waiting for 9000 is the right thing to do because the prices should drop.

As for 5800x3d vs 5900x, just like others have said, the 5800x3d is the right choice.

Facebook marketplace now has a lot of good deals (at least in my area) so I would recommend checking that.

But please test the CPU before buying if youre getting it from FB
