My laptop gets so hot after just 30 minutes of use that I can't even keep it on my lap. The fans are constantly running at full speed, but it doesn’t seem to help. I’m worried that the heat is going to damage the internal components. I mostly use it for graphic design work, which I know can be demanding, but it shouldn't overheat like this.

dust can clog the vents and make it overheat. try opening it up and using some compressed air to blow out any dust. also, make sure there's enough space around the laptop for good airflow.

If your laptop's pretty old, the thermal paste on the CPU might be dried out. replacing it can make a huge difference. it's a bit tricky, but there are plenty of tutorials online to guide you through the process.

Have u tried a cooling pad? they are rly good for keeping temps down. u just put ur laptop on it and the fans in the pad help cool it down. worth a shot!
