Hey all!

So, it looks like things are heating up in the world of Nintendo with some fresh leaks and developer confirmations about their next console (Switch 2, or whatever they decide to call it). While we’re all still waiting for an official reveal, Pathea Games just dropped some interesting news: My Time at Evershine is confirmed for this future console! 🎮

Now, I’m personally excited about this, because My Time games have always been the perfect blend of cozy and immersive, and imagining it on Nintendo’s next system feels like a natural fit. But here’s the kicker—there’s a bunch of leaks floating around about this console being a dual-screen device, possibly with detachable screens. 🤯 Not sure if that’s totally true (we’ve all learned to take leaks with a grain of salt, right?), but the concept sounds wild!

One thing I’m really hyped for is the potential backward compatibility. I’ve got a library of Switch games that I’m definitely not ready to part with, so if the new console supports those, that’s a huge win in my book. But what do you all think about these rumors? And what’s your take on My Time at Evershine coming to this new system?

Honestly, the leaks about the next Nintendo console have me both excited and a bit cautious. A dual-screen design sounds super innovative, but sometimes these experimental ideas don’t really last long—just look at the Wii U. As for My Time at Evershine, it seems like the perfect title to showcase the cozy, immersive experience a Nintendo console can deliver. If backward compatibility is real, I’m all in! My Switch library is still massive, and I’d love to carry that forward.

Backwards compatibility would be such a game-changer for the next console! I’m not ready to say goodbye to my current Switch library either!

My Time at Evershine on a new Nintendo console could be amazing, especially if they manage to pull off those dual-screen rumors. I can see the separate screens being useful for managing inventory or even co-op play. However, I’m more excited about backward compatibility. If they don’t include that, it might be a dealbreaker for me. The Switch has one of the best game libraries, and losing access to that would hurt.
