PC Sign-In Screen Issues on Startup

Hey,

I've been having an issue with my PC where, upon startup, I get to the sign-in screen but only see the background image. The mouse moves, and I can click around, but nothing responds. The only way to get past this is to hold down the power button and restart the PC. Has anyone dealt with this before or have any ideas on how to fix it? It's really annoying!

I've had this happen to me before, and it’s super frustrating. What worked for me was booting into Safe Mode and then running a system scan. You can do this by pressing F8 during startup and selecting Safe Mode, then opening Command Prompt and typing sfc /scannow. It helped fix some corrupted files that were causing the issue. Hope this helps!

Try booting into Safe Mode and updating your graphics drivers. Sometimes outdated or corrupted drivers can cause the sign-in screen to hang like that.
