Red Dead Redemption 3 Prequel: Here's Why Sadie Adler Would Be the Perfect Lead

Hey everyone,

So, I just came across this article on Gaming Bible about the possibility of Red Dead Redemption 3 being a prequel, and honestly, I’m pretty hyped about the idea! The article suggests that Sadie Adler could be the protagonist, and I gotta say, I’m 100% on board with this.

Think about it—Sadie’s story is already super compelling, and we’ve seen her evolve from a grieving widow to a total badass gunslinger. She’s got this raw, unfiltered energy that makes her stand out from the other characters. Plus, she’s one of the few characters who really had nothing to lose, which gives her that wild card vibe that could make for an epic narrative.

Imagine diving deeper into her backstory—how she became the fearless bounty hunter we see by the end of Red Dead Redemption 2. There’s so much potential to explore her journey through the harsh realities of the Wild West. It could give us a fresh perspective on the world we already love but with that Sadie edge.

I know some folks might think we’re getting too many prequels, but I think this could be different. It wouldn’t just be a rinse-and-repeat of what we’ve seen before. Instead, it could offer a whole new take on the themes of survival, revenge, and redemption.

What do you guys think? Would Sadie be the perfect lead for RDR3? Or is there another character you’d rather see in the spotlight?

I have mixed feelings about Sadie Adler as the lead in a potential RDR3 prequel. On one hand, she’s a fascinating character with a lot of potential for deeper storytelling. But on the other hand, Arthur and John’s stories were so well-rounded and emotionally charged, I’m not sure Sadie’s narrative would hit the same highs.

Plus, her transformation from a grieving widow to an outlaw was already covered in RDR2. What more could they add without it feeling forced? Rockstar would need to do something really innovative to make her story stand out.

Sadie’s cool and all, but I’m worried a whole game focused on her might just be more of the same. Arthur and John had such unique arcs. Can Sadie really stand out?

I get the appeal of Sadie Adler as a lead, but I think Rockstar should be careful. Her story is compelling, no doubt, but we’ve already seen her evolution in RDR2. A prequel focusing on her could risk being repetitive unless they introduce a totally new angle or setting. What made Arthur and John’s stories so memorable was their complexity and the sense of a larger-than-life journey. Sadie’s journey might not have that same grandiosity, which could be a challenge. Still, if Rockstar can pull it off, it could be a refreshing change. But I’m cautiously optimistic at best

Do you think Sadie’s story would be as compelling as Arthur’s or John’s? I don't think it would be tbh

How do you think a game centered on Sadie would differ in tone from RDR2? Could it be even darker or maybe more focused on survival?
