Sony Ends Rewards Program: What Are Your Thoughts?

Hey everyone,

I just came across some news that Sony Interactive Entertainment is ending the Sony Rewards program on December 31, 2024. This means that after that date, you won't be able to redeem points or access your account. Additionally, the Sony Rewards mobile app will also be shutting down after that date.

What do you all think about this? Personally, I'm a bit disappointed as I've been a part of the program for years and enjoyed the perks. Will anyone else be affected by this change?
 
Oh man, this is a bummer! I've been using the Sony Rewards program to get discounts on games and accessories. I guess I'll have to start redeeming my points soon. I wonder if Sony has something new planned to replace this program?
 
I'm really surprised by this move. It feels like they're shutting down a lot of services lately. The rewards program was one of the few loyalty schemes that actually felt worthwhile. Hopefully, they'll introduce something better, but I'm not holding my breath.
