Just read through Square Enix's latest financial report, and it seems like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Final Fantasy 16 didn’t hit the sales numbers they were hoping for. It’s surprising, right? With all the hype around both games, you’d think they’d crush it. Square Enix even admitted they didn’t manage their portfolio well and possibly cannibalized their own sales.
As a fan, I’m kinda bummed. What do you all think went wrong? Too much competition in their own catalog, or something else?
