[Discussion] Dragon Age: The Veilguard Only Nominated For Innovation In Accessibility At TGA

Seeing Dragon Age: The Veilguard at TGA 2024 is the best news I’ve heard in ages! The franchise is one of the greatest RPG sagas, and it’s been way too long since Inquisition. That said, there’s a lot riding on this reveal. Bioware’s been through some rough patches (cough Anthem), and fans are expecting nothing less than perfection. I’m hoping for a deep story, meaningful character choices, and a world as captivating as Thedas has always been. If they deliver, this could bring Bioware back to its prime. But if it flops, it’s going to be a tough pill for fans to swallow.

As excited as I am, Bioware’s recent track record has me nervous. If The Veilguard isn’t polished or lives up to Inquisition’s highs, it might hurt the franchise. Fingers crossed for a proper return to form!

It’s great to finally get news, but Bioware needs to prove they can still deliver quality RPGs. The Veilguard has the potential to be incredible, but if they focus too much on visuals and neglect the gameplay, fans will notice.

I think the lack of major nominations for The Veilguard reflects the industry's shift towards rewarding games that push creative boundaries and deliver exceptional experiences. Maybe BioWare needs to rethink their approach for future titles.
