PlayStation has long been a staple of the racing game genre, experimenting with various franchises such as Motorstorm and Gran Turismo. The latter has remained a staple of the gaming giant's first-party portfolio, but it also tried a different approach to sim racing over a decade ago. During the first year of the PS4's lifespan, PlayStation launched Driveclub. The game was dubbed a social racing experience that captured the feeling of blazing fast speeds in all types of supercars. Although the game failed to make a huge impact, the original developers continue to look back on it fondly.
