PlayStation has recently confirmed that it no longer plans on supporting physical games starting from 2028. Needless to say, both fans and developers alike have found this decision quite upsetting. In particular, veteran developer Hideo Kojima has spoken out against the death of physical media. The developer also says that he is currently stacking his Blu-Ray collection as a result of this announcement.
