Bungie's Marathon came with a lot of promise ahead of its launch. After all, many were immediately interested in the first new shooter title from the developer after Destiny 2. Unfortunately, Marathon has only struggled since its release despite showing a few glimpses of potential. The first-person shooter appears to have failed to establish an audience for itself across all platforms, something typically seen as a death sentence for a live-service release.
