Honestly, this could be a game-changer for Sony. FromSoftware has built such a strong reputation with titles like Bloodborne and Elden Ring, so owning their parent company would be a big win for PlayStation. But I can’t help wondering what this means for the gaming community overall. More buyouts mean fewer multi-platform games, and that sucks for players who can’t afford to own every console.

I get the strategy for Sony here, but it’s kinda frustrating to see more of these buyouts. Gamers just end up with fewer options, and exclusives become more about business than creativity. Still, FromSoftware under Sony would be epic.

While this sounds exciting for PlayStation fans, I don’t think it’s healthy for the industry overall. Games like Elden Ring brought everyone together across platforms. I’d hate to see that change just for corporate profit.

Interesting, but I wonder how this would affect Kadokawa's other ventures outside gaming. Sony's acquisition strategy seems aggressive lately, but will it benefit FromSoftware in the long run?
