Is It Smart to Prioritize AI PC Features Over Raw Performance?

Hii everyone,

I’m in the middle of planning a new PC build and could really use some guidance from experienced members here.

My primary focus is gaming (mostly AAA titles at high settings), but I also do a bit of multitasking like streaming, browsing, and occasional editing. While researching components, I’ve noticed a growing push toward the whole AI PC trend especially CPUs and laptops with built-in NPUs and AI acceleration features.

That got me thinking. should I actually prioritize these features?

Right now, I’m debating whether to go all-in on a powerful GPU + CPU combo, or slightly compromise raw performance to get newer AI-focused hardware that might be more “future-ready.”

The thing is, I’m not sure how useful these AI features are in real-world gaming or everyday usage yet.

Would love to hear your thoughts:

Is AI hardware something worth investing in today, or should I just stick with proven performance parts?

Appreciate any suggestions.
