I'm so tired of playing games with characters that feel out of place. There are so many hypocrites within the gaming industry in terms of inclusivity and diversity; I'd even call it reverse racism. If the plot runners naturally represent characters of different races and cultures, I'm all up for it. Nobody had a problem with Miles Morales' Spider-Man; in fact, everyone loved it, except core racists, but that's a separate topic.

It's interesting to see a dev take such a hard stance on DEI. I get the point about wanting creative freedom, but calling it a 'perverted approach' feels a bit extreme. Hopefully, this doesn't alienate fans who value diversity in games.

I think the director is overreacting a bit here. DEI doesn't have to be forced, but it also doesn't hurt to be inclusive. Plenty of games have done it naturally without compromising the quality or vision of the game.
